Brazil has around 400 tech incubators and 25 tech parks (in operation). Since 2005, almost 200 tech transfer offices were established. The Country ranks 13th in knowledge production, according to the number of indexed scientific papers (ISI, Scopus, Web of Science etc.), but still has a way to go to turn its knowledge assets into economic value.
Entrepreneurship is flourishing and many accelerators are being created.
The country has knowledge assets that could easily be turned into economic value if the soft business capabilities and infrastructures to start/grow tech business were in place. A world class and globally connected hard tech accelerator would find lots of opportunities for new businesses.
